Belfast as a city
Belfast is a quaint city, easy to navigate.
Buses are a reliable though not as frequent as compared to Singapore.

Don't bother bringing rice cooker if you're staying in school accomodation (BT1) as it's provided
Safety: Belfast is safe, even then always remember to take care of your belongings or have a friend go home / take a cab home when it's too late.
Taxis (Uber/ fona cab /value cab) here are reasonably priced. Value cabs are the only taxi companies allowed into hostel (BT9) accomodation.
Have a UK account, from HSBC- can open the account in Singapore before arriving. Its a hassle opening one only when you've arrived. You'd need to have your accommodation address and a proof of letter from the accomodation team and school to certify that you indeed stay in the address that you specified and are a student of Queens before they can open your account.
School provides a lot of mental health care support
Don't pack so many winter clothes, buy them here as they're more suited to the climate and reduces the bulk for you to pack more things that you like.
Rains very often here, raincoats and umbrellas are strongly recommended
